Scarce SS-Sturmscharfuhrer Rank

 

 

Black wool SS pattern Panzer wrapover jacket for the rank of SS-Sturmscharfuhrer. The jacket complete with 'flatwire' woven Runes collar patch, along with companion rank patch bearing two pips, and two brocade rank stripes. Both collar patches machine-sewn to the collar. The high rank NCO epaulettes of the slip-on style, and with pink silk piping on black wool. The epaulettes bearing three silver pips to each, along with the silver metal 'LAH' cyphers.

To the left sleeve, the Waffen-SS 'flatwire' woven eagle/swastika motif, which has been machine-sewn to the jacket sleeve. To the lower sleeve, a 'flatwire' woven cuff title for ‘Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler’. (machine-sewn to the sleeve). To the left lapel are two ribbons, one for the Russian front Medal, and one for the award of the Iron Cross 2nd Class. There are also three sets of loops for breast badges. The interior has a black rayon half lining.

Condition report:  The wrapover jacket showing some light general service wear throughout. Particular wear showing to the neck area, and also the cuffs. Some slight loss to the black wool nap. General light service use and age showing to the insignia, resulting in typical wear to the reverse of the cuff title (slight pulling in one area).
